Parian Bust of Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens (1812-1870)
A handsome, Parian bust of Charles John Huffam Dickens.
Remembered as one, if not ‘the’ greatest novelist of the Victorian era, he serialised his most famous works; writing 15 novels, 5 novellas and literally hundreds of short stories and non-fiction articles.
He was also a staunch campaigner for children’s rights and social reform.
‘It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair…’
