Mid-Victorian Sunday Stick

A lovely example of a Victorian parquet Sunday Stick.
Golf was frowned upon being played on a Sunday and many courses remained closed during the sabbath. Many enthusiasts though, had canes disguised as walking sticks and canes and would practise strokes or putting while out for a 'Sunday Walk'. The name for these particular canes became 'Sunday Sticks'.
