1887 Jubilee Bust of Queen Victoria
Having had 9 children and surviving 8 assassination attempts, Queen Victoria: ‘The Grandmother of Europe’ is unarguably the most archetypal Monarch of the 19th Century.
Her 63 year reign (1837-1901) was the longest of any other British Monarch until fairly recently when it was beaten by our current Queen; Elizabeth II.
This Parian porcelain bust is stunningly detailed (even down to the cameo of Prince Albert that adorns her bosom) and is from her Golden Jubilee to commemorate the 50th year of her reign; made in 1887 by Robinson & Leadbetter.
